About Co-Investor

Entrepreneurial. Passionate. Exclusive. These are the characteristics that define the community of successful businessmen and private individuals who have come together to form the Co-Investor Group. Their shared objective is to invest their own private funds directly through qualified minority holdings in SMEs in the German-speaking world. By way of private placements, selected investors in the Co-Investor network are invited to share in the investment and actively or passively support the growth of the investee. One thing above all unites all our Co-Investors: A passion for entrepreneurialism. That’s why Co-Investor is the right point of contact for our target companies in every aspect of business, growth and financing.

Acting together

The most important function of Co-Investor is to identify and bundle the interests of the Co-Investors in our network. This enables us to tailor our offers to each investor's needs, while at the same time bringing together the optimum group of shareholders to suit each investment. The investors are then in a position to support the target business and its management either exclusively with the injection of private equity funding, or to provide extensive additional knowledge of the company’s core business, or even on request to play an active role as consultant, on the Advisory Board or in key positions at the investee. In this way the know-how and expertise of the Co-Investor network are effectively transferred with minimal frictional losses in order to provide the company with additional assistance and ultimately promote further development.

With our medium-term investment horizon – our participation generally lasts for three to five years – we are able to provide important momentum to stimulate long-term growth. A roadmap for future development is therefore drawn up at the very beginning of our investment and possible exit strategies marked out jointly with the investee.

The Co-Investor concept is very attractive to our investors, not least because it offers them the means to participate directly and exclusively in a private placement. As each new opportunity arises, our Co-Investors have the facility to decide for themselves whether they wish to invest and in what amount. The target companies too profit from the fact that we – the owners of Co-Investor – alongside our investors also invest our own money and share the business risk. We take a personal interest.
