Co-Investor stands for commitment to SMEs and for entrepreneurial thinking, but also for a living network of well-funded private investors and for close support for our investees – always on equal terms with the proprietors of our portfolio companies. We arrange investments in the form of private placements and invite you to take a direct interest in exclusively selected target companies that are generally accessible only via Co-Investor. We enter into qualified minority interests and, acting jointly with our network of Co-Investors, make private funding available as equity – entirely without leverage or financial engineering. Our objective is to support the future growth of our investment targets. One of the particular features of our brand of shared investing is that everyone who co-invests with us has the freedom to decide whether to commit to an investment and in what amount. This not only gives you greater investment flexibility, it also enables you to exercise direct influence over the use of your private capital.

We take a personal interest.

Just how strongly we the owners of Co-Investor believe in the success of these handpicked companies is evident from our own commitment: We ourselves invest our own capital in every holding in which investors are exclusively invited to participate. By limiting our stake to between a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 percent of overall volume, we guarantee that our Co-Investors always have an opportunity to share in the direct investments selected and exclusively offered by us. What’s more, we set out the potential exit strategies at the time we enter into an investment, so the term of the investment remains clear-cut.

Alternatively, investors seeking to diversify their portfolio will also be able to share automatically in all of the interests arranged by Co-Investor. Co-Investor, together with its subsidiary EVP Capital and in close cooperation with BHF-Bank, has for this purpose established the “Mittelstand Co-Investment-Portfolio” fund. Each time we acquire an interest, the fund co-invests up to 10 percent of the volume of the fund or a maximum of 50 percent of the overall investment in each selected SME.
